In one page you have to put across the essential heart of your book idea, why you are the right person to write it, and why it is going to succeed. It needs to be a compact masterpiece.

Many submissions never get past the cover letter. Make sure yours is a winner.

Accompanying the cover letter you will have a short synopsis of your book, market and delivery information, a chapter outline and an author biography. The cover letter and basic proposal package gives guidance on all of this.

This is a make or break part of your package. It’s what will be used to sell it within the publisher.

A full proposal for a non-fiction book will usually contain the basic package and one more essential thing - a sample of your work, typically two chapters.

The full proposal package covers everything in the basic proposal package but also covers that sample. We can’t comment on the correctness of the material - but we will point out ways to improve your sample to make it sell your proposal better.

As well as reports we offer a full edit service where we will edit the text of your manuscript to improve the way it reads - we can’t edit to check the correctness of the content.

This can be performed on a sample for a proposal, or for a full manuscript.
